Spicy DAO, security modalities

Introduction

After uncountable scams in recent weeks, we felt it was important to put security at the heart of this project.

First of all, I wanted to remind some of you of the importance of anonymity at the heart of cryptocurrency. As you probably know, it is one of the foundations on which our system was built and it is omnipresent in our environment. All transactions no longer go from one person to another but from one address to another, we no longer have a nominative bank account but a decentralised wallet and a public key. It is therefore useful to understand why most of the actors in our eco-system want to keep their anonymity.

However, it is sometimes necessary to make compromises in order to carry out certain projects. And one of the compromises we have chosen to make is that of relying heavily on security measures in order to carry out this project.

KYC 🔐

The first security measure we thought of was KYC. As was mentioned earlier, we want to ensure that everyone understands what is at stake in terms of anonymity. Its risks as well as its rewards. This is why we will carry out a KYC, in parallel with an Audit.

However, we’re adding a little condition, as we will perform the KYC once the server has reached 10k members. If we realise that this target is not achievable, we will think about a new condition.

Multisig 🔐

The second safety measure we have chosen to integrate is the Multisig. The multisig allows members outside of the development team to share the security circle.

Thus our multisig will require 3 to 4 signatures to validate all IN and OUT transactions. The addresses in the multisig will be that of one of the developers, a member of the team, a member of the community managers and a third person chosen by a poll in the coming days.

Audit 🔐

The third security measure will be the audit. An audit will be conducted by a third party company chosen by the community through a vote. In the same way as the KYC we have set a target of 10k members before the audit is carried out.

GitHub 🔐

Finally, we will publish our github several days before the pre-sale. This will allow the most curious to make an opinion on the skeleton of our project. Transparency is undeniably important and we won’t be hiding anything away from you.
